We moved into our home last fall and didn’t realize how much sun our back patio got until this spring. We either needed a retractable pergola or a retractable awning. My pocketbook said retractable awning. We ordered a manual 19’’ wide by 10’ long Taylor Made Awning. I’d read some reviews, and watched some installation posts. I’m glad I had some buddies over to assist with the install; I needed all the help I could get with the instructions. It’s presently working, but we’re careful to retract it when it’s not in use. I don’t trust it even in a gentle wind as the frame looks to be very thin and weak. I’ll post more at the end of the season if I remember.
