I have a small ground floor apartment that faces west and heats up with the afternoon sun, plus there’s no shade outside. I wanted something inexpensive and found this Outsunny awning. Installation was a bit of a crapshoot; the instructions were in Chinese and not English, so were not possible for me to read. We did get it installed and working. I can’t leave it open on sunny days because it’s too fragile to leave unattended. It cranks open easily, but closing takes some work and I am only 32 years of age. I must say though the shade is nice to sit in although the fabric does not resist rainwater as claimed by the company.
