We bought a motorized Aristocrat awning for our patio. Went with the full cassette Manor model as we have a lot of birds that build nests everywhere. The soffit mount was easier than expected because we could easily see the rafters to anchor into. Three sets of hands are better than two, too. However, we had to use wedges to level since the rafter ends weren’t. The aluminum frame has a good guarantee, which I’m hoping means it’s durable – I suppose we will find out within a year or two. The Somfy motor itself works quietly; however, the folding arms extend and retract the awning with a lot of noise. Respectable quality but not the best for certain!
