Shade FX claims that there system and fabric can withstand HEAVY rain. This is not true, misleading and blatantly false. I have a very large pergola which required several retractable canopies as Shade FX could not be made wide enough (others could). Light rain is not an issue but heavy rain enters through the fabric and down the sides of the fabric splashing down on my flooring. I am going to have the retractable canopies removed and replaced with the Adana model from RetractableAwnings.com
