I got an 18’x10’ motorized awning from Taylor Made Awnings. The installation was ok, took longer than planned. The instructions are wordy and need more diagrams. It covers my sidewalk bistro tables and blocks some of the sun into may café. Operates with a wall switch, we misplaced the small remote in the first week. The motor is a bit slow and noisy but does appear to do the job. I also got the wind sensor so I wouldn’t have to worry. It’s a bit touchy, so I took it off. The aluminum frame and mounting brackets seem light-weight; I’m hoping they survive daily use. The birds like to sit on the protective aluminum hood, which makes a mess.
