My motorized retractable awning by Toff is the SolarShield model. I’ve had it for several months. It’s nice to sit out on a sunny day, but it’s noisy. Every passing breeze seems to cause the shoulder joint springs to squeak and rattle, which isn’t restful. The motor is easy to operate, however, the arms are noisy when moving. I’ve used spray lubricant on the springs as recommended by Toff and other moving parts to try and make it quieter. It’s not super noisy, just irritating. Although the manufacturer’s literature states it’s designed for light rain, it needs to be rolled up dry. If not, the warranty on the fabric is void. The fabric isn’t waterproof. It may be water resistant, but even light rain causes drips to come through the fabric.
