We have a large wood-framed house on Long Island and our Monza motorized retractable pergola I must say is without a doubt the best investment we have made. The frame is not aluminum (like most) and is real wood which provides a classical pergola appearance. We chose waterproof Ferrari 502 fabric in a neutral color so that it seamlessly appears like it is part of the home. The pergola protects my family and our outdoor furniture from sun fading ultraviolet rays and heavy rain/hail and allows us to use our bbq and outdoor living kitchen 24/7/365 with the exception of snow of course. The service and attention to detail provided by Eric at Retractable Awnings was amazing. He really spent a lot of time asking questions to be able to provide the best recommendations and also sent us a wonderful 3D rendering showing what the electric pergola looks like on our own home. Looking for a retractable awning can be like looking for a needle in a haystack! There are so many choices! I spent hours reading testimonials and checking consumer ratings of products, manufacturers, and installers. I had a color-coded spreadsheet when I finally found what I wanted – the Roma model with a 16-foot projection. The Roma retractable awning met all my criteria. The quiet operation, a wide selection of custom sizes and options, plus hundreds of fabric colors to choose from were important to my decision. The bonus was the manufacturer’s long warranty, and a complete list of options and accessories. I was sold and bought! I choose the roma model awning as they promised to meet my size requirements within 1/8 of an inch, and they did. I sat and played with the app controls until my wife took my phone away :) The heavy-duty slender powder coated non-rusting aluminum frame opens and closes quietly. The tailored look of the fabric valance adds an understated elegance to both the awning and my home. I couldn’t be happier…unless I had my phone back! The quality, beauty, function, and durability of the roma awning is a perfect addition to any home or business.

While designing our home my partner and I wanted a retractable awning pergola to extend our outdoor living space. We were both impressed with the softer look of the aluminum frame and the sharp angles of the Bursa model pergola which complimented our architecture. The consumer testimonials and reviews, and the quality of the frame and awning workmanship, plus the 25-year warranty, were amazing! We ordered the Bursa retractable patio cover awning motorized with all the optional wireless sensors, plus the controller. All we had to do was set-up the controller and the sensors would do the rest. To protect the fabric when retracted, we included the optional cover. It added to the cost but will protect the waterproof canopy fabric when it’s not in use. We selected a custom colored frame which took a bit longer to get, but it arrived when promised! The Bursa has a good consumer rating on review websites given the quality of workmanship and the attractive finishes. We are happy enough with our Bursa retractable roof but are still figuring out the controller with help via phone from their lead technician Rocky. We both feel this is what we needed and would recommend the Bursa with front posts for your home or commercial structure.

I am in awe with the pergola Forli patio cover awning. The sleek minimalist Italian design beautifully compliments our view. Its freestanding rectangular pergola with retractable fabric awning is a great addition to the patio. The powder coated aluminum frame is also a beautiful contrast to patio stonework, and the posts are so sleek they don’t intrude on the view. The neutral colored canopy fabric complements any outdoor living furniture too. The quality of the Forli model awning and the list of accessories offered by the manufacturer, plus the non-prorated 25-year warranty, make it easy to understand the high consumer rating and glowing on-line testimonials and reviews. I choose the optional hood to protect the fabric from the elements and bird droppings when it’s retracted. It’s an additional cost but well worth it compared the cost of an additional fabric canopy. The remote control and ability to control the awning and set timers using my smartphone or tablet is a great addition for any retractable awning too. The Forli awning will provide us with years of outdoor shade enjoyment. Very well built and will withstand the winds off the lake too. I highly recommend the Forli patio cover awning for your home or business.

The best business investment I believe I’ve made was the Bioclimatique patio cover awning. It expanded my outdoor patio to a year-round addition, with minimal investment! The retractable louvers rotate 165 degrees to offer shade wherever the sun is. Plus, they close tight to form a waterproof roof for my customers and have built-in gutters to allow the water to drain easily from the bottom of the posts instead of it splashing down on the floor. My amazing staff and customers rave about our Bioclimatique model awning! The rain sensor automatically closes the louvers keeping my restaurant customers, employees, heaters, ceiling fans, and furniture dry. I even have customers who deliberately come to enjoy the gentle sound of the rain while they eat and drink! I spent a lot of time searching the web for an angled retractable awning that would offer shade and protection from the sun when needed. However, it had to be able to roll up and disappear to protect it from critters and the weather. After reading what felt like 1000 consumer reviews, I finally found what I wanted. I was really pleased when I came across the venezia retractable awning. It retracts into a cassette which protects it from nesting birds, toads, squirrels and frogs, and other reptiles. The cassette also blends well with the 70-foot glass façade too. Online testimonials offer great advice and insight into the venezia model awning and why it has such a high rating. I was able to order two side by side, butting 35-foot awnings which provide the 13-feet of projection I wanted. Each has its own motor and is made with only a single piece of fabric. The list of options and accessories is impressive too. I included the wind and rain sensors along with a timer; combined with the free app, I should be “covered”. Pun intended. I recommend the Venezia model awning for your home or business. The Italian design, Italian high-quality components, and aluminum frame are lightweight but strong and durable. It also has an awesome 25-year warranty! It extends my indoor-outdoor space and is a great addition to my home.

It has a beautiful Italian design that fits in perfectly with my boat dock and the additions I was looking to make to the dock. The Palermo Plus retractable awning had the exact dimensions I needed, and every detail was just right. I also ordered a wind sensor to go along with the awning and altogether the price was v-v-very affordable. One more thing I really liked about this manufacturer is the wide range of products to choose from, especially the options for fabric textures and colors which allowed me to find the best product for my needs. Eric the salesman was very helpful, pleasant and most importantly extremely informative. Eric told me he has 30 years experience, and it shows! I was asked by Eric to send some digital pictures of the area I wanted to cover along with an approximate size. Eric also wanted to know how I plan to use the awning – sun only, sun and light rain or sun and heavy rain. I sent my digital pictures and size by email and was amazed that I had a 3D rendering the same day of exactly what the awning would look like on my house along with a quote. He even used the solid fabric color we like. Now that the Palermo Plus model awning has been installed, I can’t tell you how satisfied we are. When it came time to replace our existing awning and framework, I spent a lot of time searching the web and reading consumer testimonials. Living on the shore of a very large body of water, we experience few days without wind. My last awning, made in China, faded and frayed within a year, and the framework showed rust and flaking before the second season was up. My investment didn’t have much to show for it after less than 2 years. I was really impressed with the reviews and ratings of the European manufactured Amsterdam Patio Cover awning. Unlike all other retractable patio cover awnings, it has two motors instead of one for the retractable canopy, since the fabric moves in two different ways. The stylish framework is aluminum and Qualicoat powder coated to help prevent rusting and oxidation. It can be a free-standing pergola or an attached pergola. It also offers protection against heavy rain and wind! That means it could be used to expand the time an outdoor space could be used. I chose the Amsterdam model awning that attached to my house. The minimalist framework is less obtrusive than the one it replaced, yet solid enough to support the fabric canopy if it gets wet or the wind gusts. I can have the awning fully extended or retract it part way to watch the clouds go by or the stars at night. I’ve even noticed a reduction in my cooling needs in the short time I’ve had the Amsterdam. I highly advocate the Amsterdam model awning. This unique product, options and accessories offered, plus the best warranty I could find speak for themselves.

The Palermo Plus is excellent quality and very heavy duty. I expect to get a lot of years out of it. I am really happy with the selections I made. There were hundreds of fabrics to choose from and many options for operation of the awning. I got a wind sensor as well as a rain AND sun sensor. The width was made to the exact size that I needed and there were many projections to chose from. I also chose the frame color. Very customizable product. Didn’t see this many options from any other vendor.

I was really impressed reading the consumer testimonials and reviews for the Denizli patio cover awning. The comments about the solid looking powder coated aluminum frame and posts, built in gutter system, retractable waterproof fabric canopy, and all the options and accessories plus the 25-year non-prorated warranty sold me on the product. I went with the optional hood to protect the awning from bird poop, squirrels, possums’, and rain and snow collecting in the folds of fabric when not extended and in use. With a Beaufort wind load rating of 63 mph for my size and protection from UV and heavy rains, I can use my patio almost year-round! I considered getting the side retractable screens too, but with no close neighbors, I opted for the optional lighting system. It sure adds an ambiance to my evening entertaining! The Denizli model retractable pergola has a maximum projection of 22’11” and a maximum width of over 42’+, so my 40′ width and 20′ projection was no problem. The 25-year warranty and corrosion proof components make this an investment you can expect to enjoy for the long term. I’m very pleased with the workmanship, detail and finishes; the manufacturer takes pride in their product. I highly suggest the Denizli model to cover your outdoor living entertainment space at your home or business.
